I live in the Shelburne area, with my husband, Glen Porter (Porter Pumps-retired) and our dog. Glen has longstanding family and business roots in this area, as the third generation in the water well and pump business. His mother was the loved, local librarian for three decades, Ina Porter and her husband, Bill, a very well respected, Master Plumber. Carl, Glen’s brother, was an accomplished horseman, working primarily with their father, training and racing Standardbred Horses.
Glen and I chose to live in a picturesque village, locally, attracted by nature and the proximity to town.
Glen was involved with the local Kinsmen for years and I am a member of the Shelburne Fiddle Parade Committee.
Both of us love the close knit community spirit here and enjoy welcoming people to the area.
