EVO Electrical Contracting is committed to making a conscious effort in attempting to minimize the impact of its work related activities on the environment. We do this with simple actions such as the following:

 

• Minimize toxic emissions through the servicing and use of our work van
• Actively promote recycling, reusing & refusing to our staff, customers, suppliers & community
• Minimize waste by evaluating operations and ensuring they are as effective as possible
• Source and promote products and services that minimize the environmental impact

 

As a company we consciously make efforts to operate in a circular economy mindset and implement working procedures to;

• Refuse
• Save energy
• Reduce waste
• Conserve raw materials
• Reduce pollution
• Reuse materials (Electrical equipment & materials are never reused as per the Ontario Electrical Safety Code)
• Recycle waste

As a company we ensure where possible;

• All lights are turned off when not needed
• All computers are turned off and not plugged in when not being used
• Although we have a printer in the office, we pretend it doesn't exist - everything is now electronic - therefore we don't use ink cartridges and paper waste is at a minimum. If we need to print large scaled items such as lighting plans (in black ink), we use our local print shop
• All paper waste is reused first then recycled when it can no longer be reused
• All paper products that are brought in due to packaging are of a recycled content or reused (as organizer bins or craft projects etc.)
• All card, cans and plastic waste is reused (as organizer bins, craft projects etc.)
• Avoid the use of single-use plastics
• All of our office cleaners are naturally made & eco-friendly
• Company vehicle is serviced regularly
