The Canadian Open Old Time Fiddle Championship starts with the playdowns on Saturday, August 10 at 10:00 am at the Centre Dufferin Recreation Complex (Shelburne Arena) with the young and the young at heart (9 & Under, 10-12, and 56 and Over Classes), followed by the remaining age classes, Gospel, Group, Novelty, Bluegrass, and the Open Class. The 2018 Shelburne Christmas Hamper campaign would not have been a success without the kind businesses, organizations and individuals in our town who gave of their time and resources. The kindness of our sponsors helped make Christmas a little brighter for over 86 families (up over 30% from 2017) and 25 March of Dimes clients. THANK YOU!
On November 15, the Shelburne Rotary Club is holding a spaghetti dinner fundraiser for the Christmas Hamper program. Stop by the Agricultural Centre, 377 William St. any time from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm for a delicious dinner in support of a great cause. Cost: $10; $8 with a donation of non-perishable food.
